Privacy Policy
1.Who we are
Bridging Futures Association (BFA), an international non-profit association (AISBL) being established in Belgium, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question, contact us at office@bridgingfutures.eu.
2.What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, organisation, email address and message.
- When you register interest in a forum: your name, organisation, role, country, field of interest and how you would like to take part.
- When you visit the site: anonymous analytics data, only if you accept analytics cookies.
3.Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry (our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us).
- To organise forums you register for (at your request, and our legitimate interest in running the Forum).
- To understand how the site is used (your consent, through the cookie banner).
4.Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run our website, email and events, under data-processing agreements. We never sell personal data. With your agreement, we may share your name and organisation with other participants in a forum you attend.
5.How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for: enquiries for up to 24 months, and forum records for up to 36 months after the forum.
6.Transfers outside the EEA
If a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
7.Forum confidentiality
Closed case sessions follow confidentiality terms agreed with participants in advance. Nothing said in a closed session is published, quoted or attributed without permission.
8.Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw consent at any time. Email office@bridgingfutures.eu. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
9.Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with its date.
